Set another page as the homepage

Hugo I would like to be able to choose a different page to be the homepage than the preset homepage. I actually thought I should be able to do this in "Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page" by changing "Front page displays" to "A static page > Front page > My page" ... unfortunately this doesn't work. Any ideas of how I could set a different page to be the homepage, or am I stuck with a 301 redirect. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Have you got your perma links setup correctly?

I have 301’s until I had the correct setting.

My permalinks are currently set to /%category%/%postname%/

Is that bad?

Postname is fine, but right at the bottom look for custom base.

It must say /product

This sorted the 301 for us

I hope it helps 🙂

Hello Hugo,
If you want to change the home page, just rename the front-page.php to something like front-page1.php or something you like to. And other changes you did in the settings is alright.

I just read the amazing news that Dokan will be available as a standalone
plugin soon. Even though im very happy with my current theme I found at
theme that gives me the opportunity to bring it to the next level.

Would you be so kind to advice if id be able to integrate the new plugin
into this theme:

Hello Hugo,
Any WooComerce compatible theme would work with Dokan Plugin. We can’t tell you about costing without knowing about what customizations is needed.
Please have patience and wait until the plugin is released.
