I have an application that utilizes Buddypress and BBpress. Users can interact with each other by posting, sharing, commenting on videos and pictures of things they have seen.
I also have vendors that want to sell cameras to my users (currently through forums). I'd like to provide them a shopfront like dokan that will allow these select users to sell to the community of visitors and participants.
I know Dokan has buddypress on the horizon, and I am also free to be able to change my theme atm.
Basically there would be 4 types of users:-
2/ Community Users
3/ Sellers that are also Community Users
4/ Visitors / Buyers.
Can someone please tell me if Dokans' proposed buddypress / BBpress integration could cater to this scenario?
Also what sort of time frame we're looking at?
Could I include Dokan in a sub-directory of main buddypress domain (as a separate install) as a temporary solution till Dokan has Buddypress / BBpress integration?
Thank you in advance to everyone/anyone that can help.
We haven't restricted or modified any user role in our theme. So you can use it with BuddyPress without any problem. We've just made the “seller” role to give access to the stores admin. Nothing more special.
You can use any theme in a sub-directory or a sub-domain, with a separate WordPress (Multiple/Single) install.
I'd be glad if you make a complete list what you're gonna need or what you want to do.
We also offer customized services (charges may apply).
