odc2tu Hello I saw this link on another website showing your plugin working with jobroller I tried and it works perfectly so i bought your plugin but i can't get to make it works as on your website. Could you share the settings to make advanced search works with jobroller like on this link ? I tried setting the taxonomy from dropdown menu 1.Job_cat + multi select + In 2.Job-type + multi select + In 3.Job_salary + multi select + In Post, job listing and resumles are ticked on "post types"   Problems are: > it doesn't work, it shows on sidebar, but no results when i test it > Settings reset by themselves to "category" msot of the time immediately after i save the settigns (some times after few minutes) (in the drop down menu then there is just "category" or "post_tag" as choice, the taxonomies disparear, i have recreate everything (and still it's not working then because it reset again) > When i set a color background, the fields and labels are very close to the border, i guess it's jsut some css in style.css to change, but i don't know which lines. > I don't understand the difference between "in", And" "not in" and how they affect the search   Second part of my post, i'd like to know f it's possible to have create 2 widget with 2 differents settings so i could place on widget with advanced search for job listing and one widget that could be seen only on "search resume" sidebar for those who have access to it, and a specific search for resumes. As for now it can create a whole advanced search togheter with taxonomies from jobs listings search and resumes search but i really would like to separate the 2 search you know?   Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for buying this plugin. Answers are bellow –

1. Jobroller theme overwrite WordPress default search. Please change your search.php file with this one –

(themes/jobroller/search.php) file.

2. settings – its weird ! Shouldn’t happen this kind of problem.

3. you can tweak your theme style.css file or, from widget settings option

4. in = true with search logic , and = when you search more than 2 logic,
not in = when you want to show false/oposite results

-> Sorry, currently it doesn’t supports multi-form. But, in next release we will add multi-form feature, however there is no ETA for that.

Thanks for the help but it still not working 🙁

1. I did it , replacing APP_TD with appthemes because i still have the 1.6.4 version. (i tried leaving APP_TD at first just in case but it was not working either)

When i try to search, sometimes it will says “no results found”, sometimes it will give me ALL my job listings + ALL the pages , articles of the website and sometimes it will show an error message

Warning: strip_tags() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in/home/XXXXX/public_html/XXXXX/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3195

line 3195 says: $string = strip_tags($string);

2.Each time i save it still reset to “category” i have to refresh so that it returns to what i initially set (my taxonomies)

i realize that entering a label with space seems to create the error message and the reset  problem

i tried with a label called “job listing” > taxonomy reset to “category” + when i search i got the error message mentionned above.

then if i just name it “test” it doesn’t reset and no mroe erro message on search

Anyway, when i search, it’s still “no results found”, error message, or all job listings + all pages showing

i think its coming from your search.php file. Please replace it with original v1.6.4 file.

and, only commit
printf( "

", print_r($wp_query, true) );

i can see in your file query_posts($args); still exist.

Please just put “//” before that line. around 72 line .

Never mind, i just realize i couldn’t do my project.

I needed a multi form search one for job listing search and a second for resumes search, so i bought few weeks ago job super search plugin on appthemes marketplace that was supposed to do what i needed but the problem is that it never worked like it was supposed. Resumes search modules works, but job listing search modules doens’t work well.

So i thought that i could combine your plugin and his. You know, Yours for job listing search on job listing sidebar and his (the resumes modules) for resumes search on resumes sidebar.
The problem is that it seems to create a conflict between both when they are both activated making your plugin not working (resumes search with his plugin still works, it’s weird), because when i click on search, i get absolutely all jobs listings as results (featured and not featured. When i deactivate his plugin, your work again normally.

So i’ll have to wait that your plugin becomes multi forms to complete my project, because the author of the other plugin don’t care that his plugin don’t fully work, he released 3 updates, and none fixing the problems.

Hope multi forms will appear soon on your plugin, that would be amazing.
