    Hey there,

I am using this fab Plugin in tandem with WooCommerce Membership (CodeCanyon version) and I am trying to deliberate, which is causing this slight issue. I have a feeling it is perhaps yours as there isn't much you can edit on the other one.

It is probably a simple oversight on my part and easily resolved by your good selves.

I am selling a membership which will grant access to certain pages on the site. My issue is that the end user who purchases this membership not only has their WP role defined as ‘customer' but also as ‘author'. I definitely do not want them as authors and I can't quite see how to disable this from occurring.

Add to that, when you manually add a user and select them as an ‘author', they are also automatically granted the ‘customer' role.

    Please can you assist me.

    Thanking you

I found the solution. I knew it was something silly:

    settings>user role editor> default roles

    I deselected customer and author.
