    Hi there,

I am using both Dokan & E-Shopper child template.
I'm looking to edit the menu in the top header (cart, seller dashboard, admin, login/out) I found the file links to the template-tag.php which is in the Dokan template.

If I edit this file will it be overwritten in future updates? Is there a way for me to edit the header menu in the child theme? All I want to do really is move some of the items around and add two more links.

Alternatively if I were to code my own header.php and homepage templates is there an easy way to reference these menu items.

p.s. – I'm having alot of enoyment using these two themes, great job.

    Hello Seth,
As eShopper is a child theme, you have to make all the changes in the themes functions.php. You can write all your necessary functions at bottom of that file and may leave some comments just on the line you started modifying.

Yes. All the changes would be lost upon update. So you have to make all your changes in on single file (functions.php) and keep a backup of that. When the theme gets updated, you just have to add those modified lines on the newly updated themes functions.php file.
