Since the users of the Project Manager tool are used to seeing the front-end of the project only, they are not used to seeing the wp-admin controls.
Could I modify the URLS in the notification emails to send people directly to the front-end of the project (leaving the “wp-admin/admin.php” out of the notification message)? I would like the URLs to be more like this:
I just tested it in our live site. I created a to do and assigned it to me. Its working fine. Are you missing something? I mean if you create to do in frontend, link in notification will be frontend link and if you create to do in backend then link will be backend link. Would you please explain your problem more? Thank you..
Thanks for your reply. I duplicated what you described (created a to-do on the front-end and then commented on it in the front-end) and it indeed inserted a link to the front-end in the email. I was not aware this was how it worked, but it does seem to be working.
I think I received my results because I created to-do items on the back-end first, then commented on the front-end.
In any case, it seems to be working for me now. Thank you!
