It works perfectly on desktop devices. If I try to upload a picture from a mobile device (iPhone) nothing happens when I am tapping the upload button. You can disable all your plugins except User Frontend and switch to a default theme of WordPress like- Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen, Twenty Fourteen and let me know the results. We did not enable any ligtbox plugin. So we do not face any fault while in responsive mode.
