Can I follow up with a different question? Would it be a lot of work to make a backend dashboard for sellers? I guess the tax problem then would be automatically solved?November 25, 2014 at 2:31 am #31128
@mike: Did you receive my email?
@sekander, @nayem: Is there anyone in weDevs that can answer the above question? Since you have made the system, maybe you know if it is possible to use WP-ADMIN as a backend for Dokan? Would it be a lot of work to get reports etc in the backend? The lack of tax handling is a serious issue, so I am trying to solve this as fast as possible. I would be thankful if you could provide an answer.November 25, 2014 at 4:07 pm #31156
Backend or frontend is not the issue here. The issue is that we have not included the system. When we do add a system, it will work on the frontend.
The only workaround I can suggest you is, write the prices including tax and mention the details of VAT, tax and other things you included in the price.
And in terms of invoices, you have to make them manually. I know, this is really an absurd idea to suggest. But I can not come up with any other idea right now.
Or dev team will have a detailed meeting to add the vat, tax and coupon filtering process in the first week of December. Till then I am unable to suggest you anything else.
Sorry for the inconvenience 🙁November 25, 2014 at 8:18 pm #31184
Is it the seller role that cannot add/use tax? The admin role can add and use tax in the backend, but not sellers, is this correct?November 30, 2014 at 8:32 pm #31435
The problem is with multiple vendors and their unique products and locations. So assigning from the backend might not work each time.

He has described the scenario here.
We will have a meetup within a couple of days to get the vat, tax and shipping features more effective according to your needs. 🙂November 30, 2014 at 8:36 pm #31437
Thank you for your feedback. I am looking forward to an update on your plans after the meetup – this is a very important issue for me.December 11, 2014 at 12:37 pm #32127December 13, 2014 at 5:40 pm #32255
Yes we did and agreed to add tax feature Store wise and Per Product basis. And you will be glad to know that the team has already started working on the above.
We are trying your best to release new updates for each of our products in this new years eve.December 20, 2014 at 4:03 pm #32672December 20, 2014 at 7:20 pm #32690
Yes we are. We are done with data route and policy and we will be working on the interface this week.December 20, 2014 at 8:06 pm #32693
I am very happy to hear that.
Will it in your solution be possible to have two tax classes made by the site admin, and have the vendors use
(3) Tax-Class-1 AND Tax-Class-2 (two classes on the same product)
(4) No tax
per product?December 22, 2014 at 6:20 pm #32820
Anything is not finalized yet. I have suggested to include both the tax classes and individual tax price or percentage.
So we can not confirm you anything right now.December 23, 2014 at 5:36 pm #32879
Do you have any updated ETA on this? Will it be on this side of 2015? I am waiting for this before opening the site.December 28, 2014 at 3:13 pm #33045
