Just doing a little more research before hopefully purchasing.
what would happen in the following scenario.
What happens if I purchase a product from Venor A, then a different product from Vendor B. On checkout, will there be the total product prices and shipping combined or is the checkout process broken down by vendor?
ThanksMay 15, 2014 at 8:31 pm #20531

The customer will pay the combined price for a single order. That order will be then splitted into two order for vendor A and Vendor B. So vendor A will manage only his order, B will manage his order.
Let me know if you've some other questions. We have a pretty good docs section is available too.May 21, 2014 at 1:30 pm #20774
Can you clarify that the customer will be charged shipping for EACH item purchased and the appropriate Vendor paid for their product's shipping? EG tshirt one is $10 shipping, tshirt 2 also $10 shipping = $20 shipping charged to the customer and then split to the 2 vendors $10 each for shipping expense?May 21, 2014 at 1:44 pm #20775

I understand that, but the software is not doing that.
Here is an example
Vendor A has a product that costs £20 and £10 standard postage (set via Woocommerce)
Vendor B has a product that costs £40 and £10 standard postage (set via Woocommerce)
SO lets say a customer buys each item from each Vendor. The total one would expect to be £30 from Vebdor A and £50 from Vendor B for a total of £80
The problem is the software is only charging £70 – So for 1 lot of postage and not two. This can't be working correctly.
Please let us know

I see via another thread I need to purchase another addon.
It seems strange that this functionality is not already built into the Multi Vendor site – considering it is fundemental to it working correctly.
Hopfully the shipping addon will do what we need it toMay 21, 2014 at 4:27 pm #20789
I think you need to make it clear to people that Dokan only works if you don't offer shipping or only free shipping. Otherwise if you intend to sell Physical Goods YOU MUST buy the Shipping Add On because in effect what you are saying above is that Dokan multi-vendor shipping doesn't work without buying the Add on for $29extra. In fairness to newbies like myself there is no information to this effect anywhere unless you dig for it in the forums.
Just rethinking now how I am going to work Dokan seeing I've already bought this without realising the above.
& trying to work out a solution for making it function so that shipping is charged out properly in multiple purchases but also have individual sellers set their own prices etc (as they do in Ebay etc).
My thought is – Can Shipping be worked into an Attribute that has a price attached? For instance when a buyer buys a tshirt they may select “Ship to USA $10” which changes their product order price? In fact can sellers attach a price to different attributes they set up eg? Red Colour shirts cost more?May 21, 2014 at 6:02 pm #20799
I just got my question about the Add On answered so that is the best solution at this stage. Many thanks for that.
