|Mahi||Continuing on from this thread, http://forums.appthemes.com/advanced-search-widget-plugin-wordpress-33909/page-3/ I have entered the information as you have said. Then i went to the frontend and did "Boots" in the search and a price of £30-£40. I don't have any boots priced within that region so i am expecting a search result of 0 but it comes back with 2 sets of boots at £49.99..?|

Can you please share a screenshot of the form builder page?
I assume you are using classipress theme, did you changed anything on the theme to make the search work?

I’ve noticed classipress theme adds extra queries for in the search page and overrides the plugin. Please find the file /classipress/includes/theme-functions.php and find these lines:
Now you’ve to comment those lines (just add two slashes in those lines):

OK will do, but you may want to put a post in the forums as others might have the same problem. 🙂

Well, this plugin is not dedicated to Classipress or any Appthemes theme. So, no need to post this topic there. If you want you may do so 🙂
All customers who bought this plugin from us ( classipress customers) now they will see this solution here.
Thats why i asked you to open a topic here 🙂

Guys my sincere apologies, i commented the lines out, (just on the main site and not the test site) which is where i have the plugin installed. It works fine & thank you for your help.

You know i am not sure if this is fixed you know. If i do a search for Toys. On my site there are 3 items in the toys section, but it comes up with a rabbit. In the description of the rabbit it has the word Toy…..
July 15, 2012 at 4:57 am 535
I think it was not supposed to bring those 3 items from the toys section, because the search term doesn’t match anything that contains the word “toys”

So if I was looking to buy a car I could put cars in the search box only to have a toy car show up if that is the only thing that has the word car in it?.

That’s how search works by text matching, unless its google
