Tom Hi, I’m using WP User Frontend PRO so that I can enable authorised users to submit different types of items such as Posts and Pages and custom post types such as Events and Locations from the front-end. The Events plugin I am using is Events Manager. I read this post about the use of WP User Frontend PRO with Events Manager: http://wedevs.com/support/topic/wp-user-frontend-pro-and-events-manager-plugin/ This gave me the confidence to go ahead and make the purchase of a WP User Frontend PRO Developer licence. I have prepared 2 WP User Frontend forms: 1. New Event form. 2. New Location form. Each form prompts the user for the appropriate input, e.g. Event Name, Event Description, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time. I’ve also included the appropriate items of meta data as hidden fields including _event_status which is set to 1 indicate the event is live. I can submit a new event using the New Event form and the event is created with the correct data except that the event is always in Draft rather than Publish even though I’ve selected Published for the Post Status in the Form settings. I then have to go into the back-end and edit the draft event and then click the Publish button in order for the event to be published. This defeats the purpose of using WP User Frontend PRO. However, when I submit a new location using the New Location form, the location is published right away. The address is not recognised by google maps but that’s a separate issue. Please help me understand how to get my new event created as Published instead of Draft. Thanks, Tom O’Dea

Hello Tom,

To change the post status you have to navigate to user fronted->Forms->Open your form and select the “Post setting” tab. In this tab you will find a option post status to set your post status. Now you can change your post status for this form. Please check and let me know.

Thank you 🙂

Nayem,

Thanks but I’ve already done that. That’s what I meant in my original post when I said: “even though I’ve selected Published for the Post Status in the Form settings”.

Hello Tom,

Is there any option like this in Events manager plugin which you are using?. Please make sure you did not miss anything. If you have done all the things and still not working then please provide your login details by using this form- http://wedevs.com/provide-login-details/. I will have a look what is going wrong.

Thank you 🙂

Nayem,

Thanks. I’ll have another look at the Events Manager settings and get back to you. I have some errands to run so it might be a day or so before I can do this.

Thanks, Tom
