Mahi,

Thank you so very much. Steller customer support as always.

My next step is to write a testimonial for you.

Hi,

I found a solution for #1 in the documentation but it’s not fixing my problem. The form used to create a post from the front end is assigned to both the post and the page with [wpuf_edit]. I still get the error and I am unable to edit the posts.

Here were my steps to try to resolve #1.

1. Ensure that the correct form was selected on page with [wpuf_edit].
2. Ensure that the correct form was selected on the post.
3. Ensure that page with [wpuf_edit] was selected in the general settings.
4. Dashboard settings are set to “Yes” for “Users can edit posts.” (Though I should note again that there is not option in the dashboard for a user to edit their post. I must create a separate menu item for this.)

I believe I have all bases covered for #1.

I still cannot find a solution for 2 or 3.

@LocalsGuide If I may, I needed the same thing. I decided to use “Membership” from MUWP Dev. I was able to use WP User Frontend Pro to set up the registration and front end forms and use Membership to restrict access. You can find more information about that here – http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/membership/

Be aware that this plugin does a lot. I only had to use roughly 10% of its functions to do what I needed it to do.

Hi Mahi,

Thank you for your response. Thank you for the links above, but I’m not sure they lead to a solution to my specific request. I also should have thought about searching for my theme. Unfortunately, it’s not coming up in any search results.

What I could gather from the links you provided was something about “Custom Fields in Post.” I also read about this in your documentation. I have clicked the little box beside it, but I’m not sure where to find the field to input any data when creating a form. In one example from the links above, I saw a meta field under images, but I’m still a bit confused.

My theme is Bayside. You can find it here – http://themeforest.net/item/bayside-responsive-wordpress-theme/4071850?ref=OnWPThemes.

I was hoping to have my video function included in the “Custom Fields” section of the plugin. This way I could add it to a form and select the order.

Your plugin provides the perfect solution for my needs. If I can only get past this last hurdle, it will be perfect!

I’d like to also include a screenshot of what I see in my theme admin. I’ll put it at the bottom of this post.

I also want to thank you for offering this plugin as an option to the WordPress community. So far I am very impressed and I value your contribution.

Thanks,

Mike

I sent a request for more information from my theme developer and this was his reply.

I see. The video embed is a simple meta-data field. To output it, you would use:
ID, ‘videoembed_videoembed’, true)): ?>
ID, ‘videoembed_videoembed’, true) ?>

The shortened version with no check is just:
ID, ‘videoembed_videoembed’, true) ?>

I am not sure how the plugin works but you would need that get post meta or just the ID perhaps: ‘videoembed_videoembed’

I am not a coder, so I need a little direction here if possible.

Thanks,

Mike
