We welcome guest posts from passionate writers and industry experts who want to share their insights and knowledge about WordPress, eCommerce, SEO, and related topics. Since we receive a lot of requests, we can’t accept them all! However, these guidelines will enhance your chances of success.

Guest post requirements

Before applying for a guest post, please ensure your company meets the following criteria:

  • Traffic: Demonstrate a consistent level of traffic to your website. [Minimum 3 months]
  • Industry Relevance: Ensure your company and content align with WordPress, plugin development, or related industries.

Content Guidelines

  • Relevance: Articles must be relevant to WordPress, plugins, eCommerce, SEO, or closely related topics.
  • Originality: We only accept original content that has not been published elsewhere. Please do not submit content that has been previously published or is available on other websites.
  • Quality: Ensure your content is well-researched, provides value to our readers, and meets high editorial standards. We appreciate in-depth articles with actionable insights.
  • Length: Aim for a word count between 1,500 - 2,500 words. Longer articles are welcome if they provide comprehensive coverage.
  • Formatting: To enhance readability, use clear headings, subheadings, and bullet points. If applicable, include code snippets and multimedia elements to illustrate your points.
  • Images: Provide high-quality images relevant to your content. Ensure you have the right to use and distribute any images submitted.

Content Checklist

  • Articles must exceed 1500 words with descriptive titles using brackets [] and ().
  • Insert 1-2 sentences between headlines (H1, H2, H3), with concise paragraphs and contractions for readability.
  • Structure articles with clear titles, evenly separated paragraphs, visuals with informative content, and diverse formatting options.
  • For better engagement, utilize diverse content types like discussions, quotes, tweets, tables, graphs, and different formatting styles.
  • Cite only from high-quality, trustworthy sources, offering tips, statistics, or interesting facts.
  • Lists (e.g., ten tips for exercise) are practical, but avoid starting sentences with linking words.
  • Provide a Google Drive link housing images/GIFs used and a high-res .png company logo.
  • Provide your main keyword and meta description of 150 words with the article.

Linking Guidelines

  • Avoid links to weDevs competitors or content that competes with our existing blog material.
  • Anchor text should align with the target page's intent without competing with our main keywords.
  • Introduction paragraphs should be link-free.
  • Exclude links to round-up articles, like "best X products."
  • We accept a maximum of 2 do-follow links.

Image Guidelines

When including images in your article, please follow the below guidelines:

  • Use high-quality, relevant images that enhance the content.
  • Ensure you have the right to use and distribute any images submitted.
  • Provide image credits and sources where applicable.
  • Include alt text for each image to enhance accessibility.
  • Compress images before uploading to drive.

We Do Not Accept

To maintain the quality and relevance of our blog, we do not accept:

  • Content that has been previously published elsewhere.
  • Excessive promotional or advertorial content.
  • Content that does not align with our niche or audience.
  • Plagiarized or low-quality submissions.
  • Content with inappropriate or offensive language.
  • Submissions lacking proper attribution for images or violating copyright laws.

Guest Post Submission Process

As we get a large volume of guest pitches, we appreciate your patience throughout the submission and review process.

Pitch First: Submit a brief pitch outlining your proposed topic, key points, and why it's relevant to our audience. Send your pitch to marketing@wedevs.com.

Pitch Response: Once you submit your pitch, our team will review it promptly. Please allow up to 3 days for a response. If your pitch is accepted, we’ll provide further instructions for submitting the full article.

Outline: If your pitch is approved, you'll be asked to provide a detailed outline of your proposed article. This outline should highlight key points, subheadings, and any relevant references.

Draft: Upon approval of your outline, you can proceed to submit the full draft of your article. We encourage you to follow the guidelines outlined in the initial pitch. Send your article as a Google Doc. Include all necessary images as attachments.

Edits: Our editorial team will review your draft and may provide feedback or request revisions to ensure the content aligns with our standards. We appreciate your cooperation in addressing any suggested changes promptly.

Publishing: Once the article meets our editorial criteria and any requested revisions are completed, we’ll schedule it for publication. We will notify you of the anticipated publication date and share the published article across our channels.

By submitting a guest post to the weDevs Blog, you acknowledge that we retain the right to edit content for clarity, style, and SEO. You also grant us the right to include calls-to-action, internal links, and affiliate links where applicable.
