Alex We are adding WP User Frontend Pro to an existing site that has a lot of custom content types and fields created in ACF (Advanced Custom Fields). I need the forms on the front end which I have created with WP User Frontend Pro to have fields which tally with the ones I have created in ACF, so that the when someone completes a form on the front end the data is entered into the correct ACF fields for the post. I really hope this is possible, and hope you can help me soon. Secondly, and on a similar questions, can users edit posts already created before WP User Frontend Pro was installed? Thank you for your time. Best wishes, Andrew.

As long the post meta key are the same, they should work perfectly. But for some fields, they might not be compatible.

Yes, they can. For that, you’ve to select the fallback/default form in plugin settings. So, that form will be used to edit those posts that were created before.

Thank you Tareq.

When you say “But for some fields, they might not be compatible” – which fields are they? Is it a certain type of field?

Well, for example, repeater field will not work as they save differently then WPUF.

But you have a repeater field I could set up instead?

Best wishes,

Yes, that one you can. But I was saying, not all the fields are compatible with each-other.

Okay, thank you. If I discover any problems I’ll get back in touch on this.

Can I just check also, can I:

  1. limit access to these front end forms depending upon the user role – so that only users in role X can see and ceomplete/edit the form
  2. Can only the user who originally completed the form edit it at a later date on the front end?
  3. Can all users be prevented from actually accessing the wp-admin area itself?

Thanks again, Andrew.

1. With the code example given in the link, you can restrict access any
kind of user in any kind of situation.

2. Yes, the original author can only edit posts. But Editor and
Administrator can edit others post as well.

3. WPUF has a settings, you can configure which user role can be granted to
visit the wp-admin area.

Thanks Tareq.

Re your response to point 1:

“With the code example given in the link, you can restrict access any
kind of user in any kind of situation.”

…I’m not sure which code example in which link you are referring to, sorry?

Hi Tareq.

Am I currently on a single site licence or unlimited? I bought the licence a long time ago and can’t remember.

Best wishes,

Andrew

Cool. If I wanted to upgrade, how would I do that (I can’t find an upgrade option on the site)?

And I also have a coupon now (WPDISCOUNTS).

Best wishes,

Andrew
