The option you talking about is not possible but you can do this another way. Please first create category post then create child category post.

After that please navigate User Frontend->Forms->Edit(Your Forms)->Drag Category Post Field from Form Elements.

then,

Category Options->select Type=Ajax->Selection Type=Include->click update Button.

When you browse your post then you will see Category with child options.

This is the only solutions can meet your requirements.

Did this alternative worked for you? I have the same requirement. It sounds obvious both gravity forms, advanced custom fields has that option to copy/paste long list. But this plugin seems to lack the basic things such as numeric field, currency field, searchable dropdown, etc.

No. The reply I got didn’t understand me. He talked about categories whereas I am talking about custom field options. It would be nice if he understood this.

Think I read somewhere Gravity forms can be used with PRO version of this plugin, not sure how that works may be you can check that out and go that route.
