Nayem Hi, I'm creating posts (specifically Woocommerce Products) with a WPUF Pro form, but when I open the post that I have just created with that form and hit 'Edit' I get the "I don't know how to edit this post, I don't have the form ID" error message. So far as I can tell the _wpuf_form_id meta key is set to the right value. And the metabox in the backend edit page for the post also is set correctly (although I don't seem to be able to change it, it just reverts after updating). I've tried making the form the default form (since it's the only WPUF Pro form I need) and that lets me click 'edit' and get a form, but it just creates a new post when submitted. Can you offer any assistance?

Hello Justin,

Please read this doc- http://docs.wedevs.com/post-editing/. It will help you to meet with your needs. After creating a edit page you have to select the form in WPUF form section which form you want to edit through this page.

Thank you 🙂

Hi Nayem, thanks for your quick reply.

I have selected the form in the WPUF form section already and am still getting this error.

Hi, I have submitted login details. If you could please avoid updating anything unless strictly necessary would be great (as this is a test site, I have a number of temporary code changes that could be wiped by updating).

Thanks,
Tim

Also, I should mention that the form I am primarily concerned with is called ‘TRC – Bookable Product’.

Hello Justin,

I did not see the edit option in your theme. So i have switched to a default theme and got the edit option for a post. Now i can edit the post easily. You have to always select the default post form to post and edit. You will get this settings in Wpuf->Settings->General and you will find this option “Default post form”. In this option you have to select the form which will be used to post or edit.

Thank you 🙂

As I described in my first post, this simply creates a new post each time and does not edit the existing post.

Hello Justin,

Please check now with a default theme. I have checked it is working fine.

Hi Nayem,

I checked it with a default theme before I last posted.

If you click to ‘edit’ a post, you will note that afterwards you are redirected to a post with a different URL to the one you were supposed to be editing. (Also, the form does not populate with the existing values of the field, and the button says ‘submit’ rather than ‘update’).

You will see this if you go to a post, copy the url, click to edit the post, enter values, submit, and then enter the original url again. The post is unchanged.

You can also observe this on the post list page in the backend:
http://168.1.86.117/wp-admin/edit.php
(note that the posts b1, b2, b3, etc. These were all created from when I clicked ‘edit’ and used the ‘TRC – Simple Post’ form).

Also, shouldn’t the plugin work without setting a default form? Each post should be set to a specific form, otherwise you would only be able to edit one kind of post, correct?

Hello Justin,

I have checked. In the user fronted dashboard the edit option is working fine. But on the post there is something missing. Did you customize anything in the plugin file?

Hi Nayem,
No, I did not, and I have tested after reinstalling the plugin and still encounter the same issue.
