Conditional Logic with Taxonomies

| towhid | Hello, I am hoping to create a drop down list of all my taxonomy names for a custom post type. When the user selects one of the Taxonomy names, they will then be presented with all the child terms of the taxonomy they chose. From what I can see, this is not possible because there is no Meta Value associated for the custom taxonomies. Is there way to either add the meta value or use the conditional logic with custom taxonomies? Cheers Damien |

| Hi, I found this bug as well: I could not create conditional logic on the same taxonomy – say, like using a hierarchical taxonomy for location (country -> region -> city) in which if the country is Italy I could select from a list of 20 regions, and when I select a Region the right cities (children) whould show. |

| Hello towhid, thanks for the reply. Here you can find the screenshots of the backend. I have two custom taxonomies, non hierarchical “categorie_arte” and hierarchical “geotag”. The latter is the one that ignores conditional logic applied to it. As you can see in the dropdown “regione”, it allows me to set a condition for the other taxonomy, but not for the field “paese” which is a subset of the geotag taxonomy). On the other hand, i can use “regione” and “paese” as conditions for any other field. |
