    Hi there,

    As we discussed before, the sellers has the ability to “unapproved”, “spam” and “trash” their customer reviews, and that makes the review function of Dokan useless. Please see the screenshot for this:

    Here are some suggest for making Dokan Review function really work as it should be.

    1. First of all, we understand we understand two concepts:

    1-1. Any review from an actual buyer of the product (who already bought tis product), will automatically be approved by the system;

    1-2. Any review from a personal that has not bought the product yet, will need to be approved by the admin or seller.

    2. This gives us the idea of following:
    2-1. Sellers should not able to change or delete any review that from actual buyer, in case of the buyer want to hide any negative review to misleading other website customers.
    2-2. Sellers should have to right to “approve”, “spam”, “trash” or “permanently delete” a review that from a personal that have not purchased the review related item. That will gives the buyer the certain power to manage their reviews and improve their business.

    3. From the idea above, we can make some change as following. Delete some code from two files:

    3-1. From “listing-table-tr.php” (plugins/dokan/includes/pro/templates/review), delete line 60 – 62 the following code:

  • <a href="#" data-curr_page="” data-post_type=”” data-page_status=”1″ data-comment_id=”comment_ID; ?>” data-cmt_status=”spam” class=”dokan-cmt-action”>
  • <a href="#" data-curr_page="” data-post_type=”” data-page_status=”1″ data-comment_id=”comment_ID; ?>” data-cmt_status=”trash” class=”dokan-cmt-action”>
  • This will remove the function of “Spam” and “Trash” for reviews that already approved (reviews from actual buyers). By doing this, we have removed the risk of a seller may hiding reviews and misleading customers. Please see the screenshot after change as below:

    3-2. Change the dropdown menu. From “listing.php” (plugins/dokan/includes/pro/templates/review), delete line 57 – 59 the following code:

    To change this (see screenshot below):

    It will make it change to (see screenshot below):

    (you can disable “seller editing review” from WordPress backend Dokan settings)

    These two changes will still leave the buyer with the right of editing their unapproved review (from people have not buy the related product yet)! ๐Ÿ™‚

    For improving the review function, I suggest Dokan can develop reply function for the review so sellers can REPLY their reviews.

    I try to override this in my child theme folder but it did not work. Hopefully can get some help as well.

    Hope all this will make sense and help a little bit for some other Dokan users' website. “Review” is one of the most important thing for a e-commerce website. I wish we can pay more attention on this, even to develop a add-on for Dokan, I personally don't mind to buy it.
