OK, I’ve done a few checks:

  • Plugin admin page displays all plugins
  • the admin bar now correctly appears
  • Real Simple Captcha does not work where there is such a captcha field “Incorrect Captcha entered”
  • When there is no captcha field, I still get an error “strong>ERROR: Incorrect CAPTCHA Entered”. I cannot therefore check if the registration works properly. Check out http://v3.bethshalom.org.nz/join-us/
  • The avatar image field does not retain the image, but the image upload seems OK
Thank you for the support, as we seem to be moving ahead. I still need to be able to register a user!

Update:
Unfortunately the plugins screen is blank again, after I emptied caches. PHP error:

[07-Jul-2015 10:23:04 UTC] PHP Warning: array_search() expects parameter 2 to be array, object given in /home/bethshalom/domains/v3.bethshalom.org.nz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-user-frontend/wpuf.php on line 396

So we’re back where we were

Any action in the last 12 hours? I have reverted to 2.2.6 as I can’t use the backend.

Another bug:
I have disabled the WPUF registration and login forms in “settings” due to the bugs, so that I can use wp-login.php. However, the “register” link in wp-login.php does not work if WPUF is enabled.

You can’t expect paid customers to do your debugging – I too am running a business. I need some quick action, guys, or I’m dumping this – there are a number of alternatives, but I’ve always preferred WPUF.

?)#/ – it works! When I used it last night (after I said it was OK), I uploaded another plugin, after which could not get into /wpadmin/plugins.php (blank screen). That plugin was never activated. This morning, the same was true. When I changed to 2.2.6 this aspect worked.

Unless you have changed something, I don’t know what to say – let me use it for a while to test further.

Other pressing issues:

  • please go to /wp-login.php, and click “Register”. The URI should be wp-login.php?action=register, but is blank. In WPUF settings, “Login/Registration override” is not checked.
  • Captcha: look at the form “registration” – there is no captcha field. You can see the embedded shortcode at https://v3.bethshalom.org.nz/join-us. Try it and see.

Update: I have been able to re-create the situation when the plugins.php page is blank:

if WPUF is activated, then ANY new plugin causes the screen to be blank with error

[09-Jul-2015 00:15:51 UTC] PHP Warning: array_search() expects parameter 2 to be array, object given in /home/bethshalom/domains/v3.bethshalom.org.nz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-user-frontend/wpuf.php on line 396

However, if I deactivate WPUF, then install + activate new plugin, then re-activate WPUF – no problem.

Hello Rob,

I have tried to reproduce this issue but failed. It could be a has a chance of theme or plugin conflicts. You can disable all your plugins except User Frontend and switch to a default theme of WordPress like- Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen, Twenty Fourteen and let me know the results.

Thanks

I have reproduced the issue right now: I see that you disabled all plugins except WPUF.

I then uploaded another (random) plugin, and /wp-admin/plugins.php is blank. Error:

[09-Jul-2015 04:00:30 UTC] PHP Warning: array_search() expects parameter 2 to be array, object given in /home/bethshalom/domains/v3.bethshalom.org.nz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-user-frontend/wpuf.php on line 396

Please have a quick look because I need to work on the site.

I can not access the backend. Can you please check yourself.

Yes, I have. Because you de-activated the https plugins, just use http://v3.bethshalom.org.nz/wp-admin/ (ie no https)

Still I am not able to access. Please revert back all the plugin including https plugins then I can access, hope so.

Thanks

You might need to clear caches. Either way, I’ve enabled https://v3.bethshalom.org.nz/wp-login.php, and I got in successfully.

Now to test: add a random plugin. Then check the log at /home/bethshalom/domains/v3.bethshalom.org.nz/public_html/wp-content/bps-backup/logs/bps_php_error.log

Hello Rob,

Ok, I am able to access now. 🙂

Now, I am able to register the site. I did not see any re-captcha error. But what I did, I disable all another plugin except wp user frontend.

I am sure there are some other plugins which are producing the conflict. Try to create a registration and see the result and enable a plugin one after another then you will get the actual conflicting plugin.

Thanks

OK. Then let us put aside the problem with plugins screen being blank – we can come back to this.

I have UNchecked “Login/Registration override” in WPUF settings. Now, go to wp-login.php and click “register”

Are you able to Skype chat? you can get me on rob_bernstein
