paperweight | The user generated content on my site generally involves including tables. Is there a way I can add a plugin that will allow my users to include Tables in their content? |

Tareq Hasan | You may install TinyMCE advanced and add table related buttons. |

Jeff | Would something like this still work? That way i don’t need to add too many features? http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-table/ Something like this can’t be integrated some how can it? |

Tareq Hasan | As I can see from the screenshot of easy table, it uses shortcodes to generate tables. I don’t think your users are ready to insert those shortcodes in the post content to generate tables. About tablepress, how do you propose a solution so that users could enter data? |

paperweight | The problem with TinyMCE advanced or any other function other than using the “Normal” choice for textarea is that if you allow users to embed links, they can see all the pages on your wordpress site — even hif=dden pages from users. When they edit a link they are given a choice to add a page already in the database, so they then can see everything. I wish there was a way around this possible security exploit 🙁 |
