I've updated to the latest Dokan plugin on my testsite and can see multiple issues (as seems to be the norm for Dokan releases lately. I can see other open topics for many of these already so I don't think I'm the only one experiencing them. Could you please advise on the fix.
– Registration Page – Clicking “i am a seller” does not produce the additional fields that are supposed to appear
– Seller Dashboard – No CSS stylesheet is getting applied (I hired a dev to fix this which he did but he advised that there is an issue with the plugin)
– Sellers can't upload any images from the front end, upload function seems to be completely broken or deactivated
– Edit product page – Shows in a flat view even though the tab view is selected.
Deleting both the old version (2.4.3 – I had it deactivated on my plugins page) and the latest version and reinstalling the latest version did the trick.
What is the correct protocol for manually updating dokan plugin? Do I need to delete the previous version completely before installing the latest? Do I risk losing my previous settings & data that way?
To manually install the plugin, you have to remove the previous installation from your site then you have to install the latest one. No, every data will appear correctly because data get saved on the database.
