Alexandre Hi We just noticed a problem : on the WP admin, when you edit a post, if you edit the title, it wouldnt change the permalink unless you change it by yourself But with WPUF, if you edit the title, then it would automatically change the permalink !! the problem is that if there were some facebook likes or twitter, then you lose everything ! as the url has changed So how to prevent the url to change when editing the title of a post ? Tx a lot as this is a major issue for us, social network likes & shares are very important !

Hi Towhid

Did you reproduce it ?

Basically, if you edit the title of an article, then it will change the permalink

site.com/old-title to site.com/new-title

How to prevent this ?

Tx

Hello Alexandre,

I am really sorry to say that we can not provide any hints regarding this issue.

Because Post URL is hooking from WordPress default.

WP User Frontend Pro does not responsible for this URL permalink change options.

Thanks

Hi Towhid

Actually this is not default WordPress behavior

you can test on your wordpress site

Post an article from the admin and then edit the title, it WONT change the permalink

Whereas doing the same through Wpuf WILL change the permalink

Can you check please ?

Tx so much

Hello Alexandre,

This is the case managed by WordPress. We did not tie this logic into our system. Post Id and change permalink are saved in the different table. If you change the permalink of a post the post ID remain same.

If you want to add this feature you can customize the plugin yourself or you can hire a developer.

Thanks
