Marvin Hi There, I've been struggling with an issue the past few days. I want to be able to show the projects in alphabetical order on the admin side. I've looked through the forum and found this thread to be similar to my question: https://wedevs.com/support/topic/project-order/ However, when I tried to duplicate what you had suggested to the OP, it caused the plugin to deactivate and I had to reupload the project.php file to restore our site. Is there a piece I'm missing or I don't understand? It would be very helpful to have this feature on our end

Hello Marvin,

We have changed the file structure in our latest version of Project manager and for this reason, those codes were not working. I need to check again.

We are now in vacation and we will start our office from tomorrow. I will request you to knock me when we will start our office tomorrow. I will provide you the solution.

Thanks.

Hello,

If you are using the latest version of Project manager which is v1.3.5 then open project manager/class/task.php file. In this file you will get those code-

$args = array(
            'post_type'   => 'task_list',
            'numberposts' => -1,
            'order'       => 'ASC',
            'orderby'     => 'menu_order',
            'post_parent' => $project_id

);

Replace with-

$args = array(
            'post_type'   => 'task_list',
            'numberposts' => -1,
            'order'       => 'ASC',
            'orderby'     => 'menu_order',
            'post_parent' => $project_id,
            'orderby'        => 'post_title',
            'order'          => 'ASC'
);

Thanks.

I finally had a chance to try this out – and it didn’t seem to do quite what I was expecting. It seems to have alphabetized the To-Do Lists within projects.

I’m happy to see this as well, however I am looking for the projects home page, where they are rectangular tiles, to be alphabetized.

Is there an option for this?

Thank you for all your help!

Hello Marvin,

By-default there is no option to do that. You have to customize the plugin code to get this personalized feature.

Thanks.

Is the custom code something you can provide for me?

Hello Marvin,

I have already provided few codes to serialize your project alphabetically. Now, I am not much clear about your last query. Can you please describe me in more details? I hope I can provide something for you.

The code you first gave me that you said to replace in file project manager/class/task.php file above:

$args = array(
            'post_type'   => 'task_list',
            'numberposts' => -1,
            'order'       => 'ASC',
            'orderby'     => 'menu_order',
            'post_parent' => $project_id,
            'orderby'        => 'post_title',
            'order'          => 'ASC'
);

This alphabetized my ‘To-Do Lists’ within a single project. I would like all the ‘Projects’ alphabetized. I’m speaking about the tiles that are generated when you click the ‘Projects’ under the ‘Project Manager’ toolbar.

Hello,

Right now we do not have this feature. If you want then you have to customize the plugin code. To rearrange the project thumbnail you have add few custom code.

Thanks.

I understand that. Is that custom code you can provide to me or not?
