Mahi Hello Forum, I don't seem to find this issue on the documentation. I need for people to Submitting form and upload their file. But it doesn't work unless i make them registering as WP user and I don't want that. Any suggestion how it should be set up would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Simone

Thank you for your help Mahi,

I did and it gives me “Something went wrong” error when i submit the filled form.

Also I’m sure this is probably just terminology… I don’t want the user to post, I want them to fill the form, agree to term and condition and then upload movie files that will go to a specific directory. I hope I have paid for the right solution here.

Thank you
Simone

Hi Simone, you’ve to insert atleast on of these fields: Post Title, Post Body and excerpt. If WordPress doesn’t find any of these, it’ll not create a post and you’ll get that error. So insert anyone of them in the form.

Thank you Tareq,
I have like you suggested, and I don’t get the error message anymore but when I fill the form and submit it hangs I have a gray wheel spinning, without sending any information.

I cant attach a screen grab, would you please try yourself

UpDate

I tried on other bowers than IE and it kind worked.

The submission went and of course generated a post on the blog page which i don’t want I just want the submitter info which I don’t have anywhere.

If you guys can’t help me with this then this plug in has no use to me.

Please refund me the $89 as there is no real support here i may as well get the free ones.

Thank you!
Simone

I tried with firefox it works just fine.

To show the submitted info, enable Custom Fields in post in the plugin settings.

Keep in mind, we have a time zone difference and we try to give prompt response.

Thank you very much Tareq.

They post on the blog page though, I don’t want to do that the Blog page is live and used for film festival jury.

What would be the way round? How can I create a blog page that is not going to be live so I can have their info? Do their info have to be posted on a blog page? Is there anyway to have a list with the submitters info?

Thank you for all your help

If you don’t want to show them to everyone, set the post status in the form as pending or draft. By going to the post in wp-admin area, you still can see the submitters info.

Hello Tareq,

I did as you suggested, I chose the Draft option and it still goes live on the blog.

Could you please have a look yourself to see if Im doing anything wrong.

I’m going to send you the website credential in a private post.

Thank you
Simone

Hello Simone,

Instead of making post status to “Draft” you made form status to “Draft”!
I update your form’s post settings.

please check now.
