Nayem Hi guys, I see quite a few topics on this already but its not clear if anyone has actually got it fixed yet. Basically, anytime I change a product from simple to variable and hit update it goes to the error page. I have tried all possible combinations of order for this but can't find one that works. Also my perma settings are post name and product as advised. It is very hard for me to earn sellers' trust starting off with an issue like this so it is very important that it gets fixed. Thanks

Hello Ferag,

If you did not create attributes before changing the product type then you will get this error. You have to create some attributes first and then you have to change the product type. If the error still remains then let me know. If you want then you can use flat view to upload product because you can do everything in one page.

Thanks.

Hi Nayem,

I have tried doing it in the order you advise (add attribute-> save attribute -> update product -> change to variable product -> ok – > update product) but still get the error. Many people seem to get this issue on these forums so it must be more than just an issue with order or plugin conflict. This operation should be fool proof if being used by sellers in a marketplace.

I have tried to switch to flat view (even though I much rather use the tab view as this is the one I can used in the “sellers guide” that I have sent to many people already and I believe there is an issue with the product going to “draft” instead of “pending review) however when i go to dokan – settings – selling options I don’t see anything about tab versus flat view.

Thanks

Hello Ferag,

In the latest version product status changed to the default status in flat view. So you can use that. I will check your site and I will try to add a variable product in your website.

Please provide your login details by using this form: http://wedevs.com/provide-login-details/. I will have a look what is going wrong.

Thank you 🙂

Hello,

You are using the older version of Dokan plugin. Please update to the latest version which is v2.4.1.

Thanks.

We have made some customisations to the dokan plugin so it takes us a while to update (to make sure updates are carried over correctly).

Is the variable product issue in the tab view fixed in the latest version?

Hello Ferag,

I have created a variable product in your site without any 404 error. But I was not able to insert price for the variation.

Thanks.

Is that an issue with the dokan version I am using or something else? I have not had issues with inserting variation price previously (once I get the 404 page I can just go back to the product page and add variations correctly from there)

I switched the theme back to marketica because I thought you were done but feel free to switch back if you need to

There was an issue in our older version. I did not remember the exact issue but you should update the plugin.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have updated to latest dokan & woocommerce versions but I still get an issue when changing a product from simple to variable. I do this after I add and save attributes as advised.

Are there any other “fixes” for this?

Thanks

Also is there any where on this site that shows when next versions of the plugin are due to be released?? I spent hours yesterday updating to 2.4.1 (I have various customisations of plugin files in place) and now today I see there is 2.4.2 out which means I have to go through the process all over again.

Hello Ferag,

You have to update to the latest version of Dokan which is v2.4.2 to get some bug fixing. To create variable product follow this doc- http://docs.wedevs.com/add-variable-product/

This variable product issues was supposed to be fixed under 2.4.1, is it definitely fixed now?

Hello Ferag,

There is no variable product issue in v2.4.2. Just you have to make sure that you have created a variable product in a correct way as the documentation described.
