I have a pre-sale question about how the shipping costs are split and given back to the vendors.
For each order, I need to automatically split the shipping costs for each vendor who has a product sold in this order, and then to be able to pass the shipping money to them (without keeping commission for shipping costs).
Shipping cost will automatically split to the vendor. Admin will receive his commission for the product price not for the shipping cost. Example : Seller 1 have a product which price is $5 and the shipping cost for that product is $2 and Seller 2 have a product with $3 shipping cost. After completing an order each seller will get their own percentage on the product price and the shipping cost and admin will get only his percentage for the product price.
If you can then please check our demo- demo.wedevs.com. You can check the calculation for the shipping here.
Can you explain the logic as to why the commission is only on the product and not on the shipping? I would like the commmision to be taken from the total price. That is, product plus commission. Or could you please explain why it was coded this way, because Im sure there's a reason. It just seems to me that the site owner is far better off taking a commision from the full price.
Can you point me to the code where the commission is calculated?
Logic is most of the time sellers do not make profit from shipping. It is un ethical to take money from shipping cost.
Different sellers may use different shipping methods and cost may vary too.
as owner you should take care of your sellers, isn't it ? 🙂
