It worked before on Easy PHP local webserver, but it seems to be encountering a hiccup on Desktop Server. Perhaps I need to poke a hole in my laptop’s firewall? Is it trying to phone home through a port number other than 80?

If you can offer a few more details about the license checking request I’m sure I can sort out a solution and offer back the solution. Thank you for your help.

I am not sure why it’s being blocked by the firewall. It’s a standard GET request using wp_remote_get() function from WordPress to a wedevs.com endpoint. Doesn’t ring a bell.

I am having this same problem. I have an unlimited license and I’m able to activate each time, but all sites show that error up top. I will soon have new admins for these sites that will see a red error message and I’ll get swamped with “What’s wrong!?”‘s and I’m sure you’re used to. Any way to simply hide that error since it’s working?

Hi Jake,

You don’t have an unlimited license, you have a personal license and it’s already activated. Thats why you are getting the error message.

Hey man,
I tried setting up a Paypal account but I clicked something wrong, tried to back step it but now I’m locked out of finishing my account setup for 2 weeks while my identity is verified… Argh. I have a visa though. Could you set up a form that will charge $110 (the difference) and I can fill out a form with my visa numbers instead? This can’t wait 2 weeks because I’m on the clock with a deadline at work. What other options do we have?

I get this error on checkout:

(Transaction Error) something is wrong.

And there is no name field in the form.

I might know what’s wrong. This card is registered with a different address than what is saved in my profile account on this site. I will change my billing address on my profile and try the transaction again.

I cleared my cache and refreshed the form but I still got that error. I am using a Visa. It’s one of those GreenDot cards for online purchases. I know it worked for paying my cell phone bill last night and I know there is $200 on it. What else can we do? I appreciate your help.
