Hi @Tareq,

Just about to add two wpuf forms to a single page, as mentioned in this topic. Is the solution outlined in this topic still necessary given most recent version of WPUF Pro?

Thanks,
lex

Hi Tareq,

No worries about the delay. Thanks for taking the time to help us.

I do have wpuf_add_post_after_insert but didn’t include it in my snippet. The field is saving successfully, ie. it updates the field with the new value, but my problem is getting the current values to show as selected on my post edit page.

Something is wrong with the function at the point where it triggers selected values…

I know it’s a complicated question, but anyone any help with this from WPUF? Would appreciate it 🙂

I know there has been… I was just checked because I hadn’t noticed the avatar field before so I got excited that it might work.

Thanks Mahi.

The BuddyPress Profile Integration add-on actually has a form field for “avatar”, whereby members can upload a photo. However this form field does not show up under the BuddyPress mapping tab.

Is this field supposed to work?

thanks,

Alex

Hi Mahi and Tareq,

Thanks for your comments. I read the post you linked to and I understand the reasoning behind it.

I’m running a website (http://www.trekkingpartners.com/) where I need to have as many layers to authenticate people’s identity as possible, personal photos being a big one. If they aren’t required to do it upon registration, many don’t take the time to do it later.

Guess I’ll figure out another way around this for now, as it doesn’t seem possible/wise to do it upon registration.

Thanks!
Alex

PS. Tareq, what do you mean, “What buddypress does for avatars is pretty crazy. So I am not sure if WPUF will ever support that!”

Hi Mahi,

Thanks for your reply. I’m familiar with using BuddyPress avatars which people are already doing on my site.

My issue is that I want to make it mandatory for new registrants to upload an avatar. This would need to be part of the registration process, if possible.

Even though it’s complex, any other ideas of how to do this?

Has anyone else ever succeeded in making avatars mandatory upon registration via other ways?

thx,
Alex

Turned out to be an issue with the datepicker js I was using with my twitter bootstrap. It was altering the date format somehow!

so fixed now…

thanks @Mahi for writing back.

Still looking for an answer to this. The main issue seems to be the front-end form saving the date as “mm/dd/yyyy″, not “yyyy-mm-dd″.

When I save the date in the WPUF custom field box from the back-end, it saves correctly as “yyyy-mm-dd”. So something with the front-end form going on here.

Any help would be great as each time someone creates a new post, I have to go in and re-edit their date from the backend.

Anybody any other ideas here? Still trying to figure this out.

@mahi, Thanks for the reply.

That saves the date as “10/17/2013”, not “2013-10-12”, which is what I want.

I have a search from that searches by date and it works in the latter format, so I’m trying to get WPUF to save in that format.

Any other ideas?

Seems like no matter what date format I set in the backend setting, WPUF formats the date as 10/16/2013 in the front end and saves it at that.

Anyone have any idea what’s going on here?
