The problem is that with this method I display gallery not in columns, like Jetpack gallery, but all thumbnails in one column.

It seems a video resolution problem: if I use FULL SCREEN browser mode, I can see a part of disappeared button.
Maybe float right panel is not good: low height resolution limit scrolling.

Custom roles has been cloned from CONTRIBUTORS.

But, it works with uploaded images using WPUF forms?

It would be good WPUF use WordPress internal upload system, so users could use third party plugin in order to achieve resizes.
Specially users doesn’t pay attention to size of images before uploading.
