No luck with that either.

FYI this is the response i got from the theme developer:

Hi Gavin,

From your description of the issue it seems that the plugin you are using is conflicting with the theme Message post type. The Messages menu item is simply a custom post type that is added and uses WordPress coding standards to add this post type so if the plugin you are using has been coded to WordPress standards it should not conflict with our theme.

The only way to resolve this issue is to either resolve this issues with this 3rd party plugin or find another plugin that does not conflict with the messages post type I’m afraid as I annot resolve issue slike this with 3rd party plugins under our support policy regrattably.

Kind Regards

I really want to use your plugin and I will be installing it on several hundred if not thousands of websites as I am including it in a new small business wordpress solution we are developing. But unfortunately we have chosen this theme to use on each of these small business installs so this is a major problem and we will not be able to use the plugin.

How can I update the code so it doesn’t set a specific position at all? Worth a try!

Thanks for prompt reply. Unfortunately whilst this moves the tab it does not fix the problem.

Any other ideas?

Here is before and after to visually demonstrate:

Before

After

I had actually noticed it on my previous theme but what it did was delete the WPMU tab which didn’t worry me but now it deletes Messages tab which is an important part of my new theme.

Your advice would be appreciated.

I have isolated it to your plugin.
