Sal | Yes I imagine it would have to be custom, but what php file would need to be customized and do you have a code example perhaps of something quick and dirty that adds a menu tab to a random page available? |

Sal | Will do. And where does it have that as I don’t see anything special regarding taxes in Dokan… |

Sal | Yes the one state/one tax rate example I gave was strictly for a demo. You would have to create FL, then upload the csv file from taxrate.com that has it broken down by zip code, and do that for every single state. Quite the pain in the butt, but will work. I’d love to see your plugin. Can you email it to me? |

Sal | Ok fixed that too. I use parallel payments but flipped it to chained, undid single seller even though I don’t use chained, saved it. Flipped it back to parallel and it works. Weird it does this though. Lots of bugs in Dokan 🙁 |

Sal | Everyone there s a very simple way to fix the tax/VAT issues. In Dashboard go to Woocommcerce, settings, taxes tab. There you will see and area called additional tax classes. For those of you in America, click in it, hit enter, type the states… all 50 of them. Yes it’s a pain in the ass but trust me. To make a test to see what we’re doing here type just one state… the one you live in. I’m in Florida so I type Florida and save the page. Now you will see an additional hyperlinked menu item under taxes, right after zero rate rates that says… Florida 🙂 Now click Florida… Click Add Row and Enter state code, rate and tax name. State code is the two letter abbreviation so enter FL. tax rate here is 6% (yes you can also import a tax table from taxrate.com here as well, but for ease of explaining this were working with the concept, savvy?) The enter tax name, which is how it’ll appear on the checkout page, so enter Florida Sales Tax and save. ok so when your clients are in their Dashboard and they add a product, then tell them to click on Inventory and at the bottom there is the box that has Tax Class. When they click it, it will show Florida (and every other state/VAT you enter there.). Have them pick the state their home office is in. Now tax is tied to the product.. and vendor. So when someone checks out in that state (Florida) they get taxed. If their shipping address is outside Florida the Tax won’t show up in the checkout page. That’s it everyone… simple… 🙂 But now I have an issue saying I can’t add more than one vendors products to the cart so gotta see what that is all about. Anyone have that issue? |
