Sellers should be able to add categories and tags, hoping to increase these two functions.

Jamal maybe you broke the code somewhere.

Delete your class-dokan-live-search.php file and replace it with the original one.

See if that works.

Hello Jamaludheen,
Ajax Live search is only to search a product from front. A search plugin doesn’t work to insert category or tags. You have add the category or tags from wp-admin.

And Mx,
Multiple category is considered bad to Search Engines. And if you let the sellers add categories, they might scramble things up. So some things just need to be controlled by the admin.

I don’t want to add tags and category through the plugin I know it’s not
for that purpose also.
My issue is after editing the plugin file for changing the text “type
here” to custom text the issue started. If I try to add any product tags
or category through backend it won’t add. I deactivated all plug-ins and
tried one by one and found the error when the Dokan search is active. Is it
because I edited the file if so what should I do. Reinstall the plugin or
what. How to change the text in correct way.
I edited the plugin file with text editor in Mac and changed it and
refreshed the file. I don’t think I made any thing else.

Jamal,

as I suggested before try to reinstall the plugin to see if it works. Delete it, and reinstall it keeping the original text.

You should download a text editor for code. I believe there are some free around the internet. Try Notepad++.

Then be sure you’re only editing the text in between the quotation marks.

It should work as I did it and it works fine for me.
