towhid I have a form which includes the facility to upload the featured image. This was working fine on a test site, but after transfer to the live hosting, the upload fails. On completion of the loading bar, the thumbnail preview doesn't appear, and the text simply reverts to the previous. Javascript console gives 'Uncaught ReferenceError: res is not defined' at this point. Source of the error is wp-content/plugins/wp-user-frontend-pro/assets/js/upload.js?ver=4.2.2 at line 137. The new site's hosting may have a slightly different php version to that of the old site, but apart from that I can't see any difference. What should permissions be on the destination folders (wp-content/uploads)? Would that make a difference? All other plugins are disabled, and I'm still getting this problem. Site due to go live later today, so I'm keen to get this resolved promptly.

New site now running on the same php version, no difference. FYI: the new site requires SSH, old one doesn’t – could this be part of the problem?

Never mind – I found the problem: legacy info in settings/media/Store uploads in this folder – wasn’t updated to reflect the new hosting.
