Nayem WooCommerce has an extensive number of plugins and given that you're integrated, will these plugins work for vendors through Dokan as well? I'm most concerned about the FedEx shipping calculator at this time, but may want to add other shipping/tax plugins in the near future.

Hello Jason,

We have no idea about it. Do you have the plugin? I will test then I will let you know the result.

Thanks

The plugin I have for FedEx shipping can be found here:

http://www.woothemes.com/products/fedex-shipping-module/

I have the theme already installed, but the plugin itself only supports one FedEx account. If nothing else, it would be nice to be able to disable this option for the vendors so that they don’t show the wrong rates to buyers during checkout, because the rates will be based on shipping from my postal code.

I have tested by creating a test vendor and a buyer. If I enable the plugin it is enabled across the site, even for vendors.

So I need to do one of the following:

1) Allow vendors to use their FedEx shipping accounts
2) Disable the plugin for the vendors, but still allow it for my store.

Hello,

If you want to disable dokan shipping for seller then disable the method from WooCommerce->settings->shipping. To hide the menu from seller dashboard you have to remove from code.

Thanks.

Thank you for the reply, but I believe I’m not expressing my end-goal clearly enough. I want to keep dokan shipping as an option for the other vendors.

What I’m asking is in regards to the WooCommerce FedEx Plugin that I have. It works great and I like it; however, it does not work well with Dokan in terms of that it only works with one FedEx account. That means that if another vendor has fedex and is located in another state or country, the rates are calculated based on my account and location, not theirs.

I would like to be able to do one of the following:

1) Modify the plugin to work better with Dokan (if possible) by allowing the user to add their FedEx information
2) Disable this shipping method for the other vendors, but still allow myself to use it.

If the only way to disable it is through WooCommerce settings as you suggested with the dokan shipping, that will not work as it will disable it for my store as well.

Hello,

To disable dokan shipping method you have to disable it from woocommerce settings. To disable shipping settings from seller menu you have to edit the code.

You can modify Dokan plugin to make the plugin compatible. You may require a developer to get this.

Thanks.
