Mahi | Tareq, I have set up a page on my website for users to add a new post. I created a form that includes Title, Category, and Body. Is there a way to restrict which categories show up in the drop down menu in the form when it is accessed by our users? For example, we do not want our category menu to include categories we have set up for featured articles, must read articles, etc. We only want administrators to have access to those categories so that the administrators may properly place featured and must read articles on our site. Please let me know. Thanks, Brian |

Tareq Hasan | In category/taxonomy field, there is a exclude field, did you see that? You’ve put the category ID’s that you don’t want to include. |

Mahi | When you create forms and insert Category field, there is an option – Exclude Terms just insert your categories IDs which you don’t want to show . image: |

btf122 | Guys, Thanks for your responses. I have tried your suggestion but the categories I want to hide are still showing up. I have emailed you two screenshots so that you may see what I am doing. Maybe I am inputting the category ID’s incorrectly. Please let me know. Thanks, Brian |

Mahi | Hello Brian, Yes, you were wrong. Go to your Categories and put mouse over category name at bottom you can see the category ID image: and, separate multiple categories IDs with coma like – 1,4,10,45 Please spend sometimes with Documentation here. Thanks. |
