@localsguide If I may, I needed the same thing. I decided to use “Membership” from MUWP Dev. I was able to use WP User Frontend Pro to set up the registration and front end forms and use Membership to restrict access. You can find more information about that here – http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/membership/
Be aware that this plugin does a lot. I only had to use roughly 10% of its functions to do what I needed it to do.
@mahi: when do you expect the next big update? I purchased WPUF Pro a few months ago and stopped using it because of some outstanding issues. Hopefully all these (they are noted on some of my other threads) will be fixed and/or added in this next release?
@mhipp: I am a wpmudev subscriber too but I have never used there famous Membership plugin. Were you able to then create a free user subscription along with paid subscriptions in the same what @localsguide says he needs? How much tweaking did you need to do? Thanks for your advice~
When we talk about major updates,it takes times. Cause, we have to try our level best to give customers a bug free and secured product.
I spoke with others mates and along with Premium Oddons it may come out end of September or middle of October.
and, regarding WPMU membership plugin compilable with WPUF, yes you can achieve this easily without much tweaking.
OK thanks @mahi. I will download Membership plugin today and see how to make it work with WPUF Pro. Here are the links to related Questions about this on your forum in case others need tips on this integration:
