A temporary work-around seems to be to allow only single category in the dokan settings. This bypasses the problem.
As marketplace owner/admin, go to Dokan>settings>category selection [dropdown menu] select “single” and save.
We need each product to be able to have multiple categories, but this works for us to allow sellers to continue to work on their products.

Please open Dokan plugin/templates/new-product.php file. In this file you will get this
Also in Dokan plugin/templates/product-edit.php file you will get this
After doing all those thing everything will work fine.
