Mahi Hi @Tareq, I wish to ask a new feature: The ability of delete and reinsert uploaded images for the "image upload in post area" The problem I detect is: 1) if I delete an uploaded image in the text area, I can't add it again, I need upload a new image. 2) I can't delete an uploaded image. This is specialy irritating when I use the "first attached image" as the featured image. I hope you find interesting this requeriments, and you can add it in the future. Best regards.

1) That is weird, can’t you hit backspace key and delete the uploaded image? I tested this and works fine.
2) Deleting image is also shouldn’t that hard, just click the delete link.

Not sure how can I regenerate your problems.

Hi @Tareq,

You have right. My guess is that the user erases the image as you type inadvertently, in this case the methods that you describe not work.

Maybe you can set a feature that block the capbility to delete the image and set only when the user clicks in the delete button.

Thanks, and best regards

The same thing happens when you press back button in the wp-admin post area. So that will remain the same as it is currently.

Hi @Tareq,

Yes, is correct. But in WP wp-admin post area you can insert again an uploaded image and delete an uploaded image, even if you have deleted the image from the post content.

Sometimes I think in users that are distracted, or not have much understanding. Your plugin is very intuitive, this is one of the features that I love more.

Hi @Tareq,

I’m wrong. If I delete the image (with backspace or delete button) the image are detached from the post.

Maybe I can find a way to delete permanently the images that are not attached from any post.

Sorry for my bad testing.

Thanks and best regards

@ggsalas – have you tried this plugin – DNUI Delete not used image?

It removes not used images from your WordPress site.

PS: please test it before you use.
