Review system clarification

| Jay | Hello Guys! Thank you for all the fantastic work you're doing so far. Your add-ons and updates are coming out much faster then I though they would! I'm just looking for clarification on the review system that Dokan uses. It looks as though the reviews that customers can make result in a "feedback score" for the seller. You then display this on the seller's store profile - which I think looks fantastic. The problem is that woocommerce see's it as a product review - this means that the seller loses that feedback score when they delete the product. Meaning sellers can artificially manipulate their own feedback score. Would it be possible to create a review system for just the product and a seperate review system for the actual seller themselves - that the seller has no way to manipulate or change without the admins permission? Are the any solutions at all to the above? At the moment I'm thinking of disabling product reviews and removing that page from the dashboard menu until I can customise my own solution. | Hello Tom, Yes you are right, currently it entirely depends on the product review and anyone can submit reviews and manipulate it. We haven’t done anything on reviews other than just counting the product reviews. Developing a new add-on for review would be great I think. That way you can disable the default review and submit review only who have purchased the products. It also shouldn’t be lost when a product is deleted or removed. |
