Tareq Hasan Hi, I am using the WP User Frontend from the WP Plugin Repo and it's not letting me edit posts. See post here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/cpt-dashboard-doesnt-have-posts-listed-to-edit?replies=3 Any thoughts on why that may be?

It actually works on default posts, just not post types with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/my-content-management/.

Now as you’ve bought the PRO version, use this one, not the free version.

In the PRO version, every post needs to be associated with a form. If you created those posts from the frontend, you can edit them fine. If you created them from admin panel, make sure to select a Form from the “WPUF Form” meta box. That form will be used to edit that post.

You can display custom post types in the frontend by using [wpuf_dashboard post_type="cpt_name"] format. Also take a look at the documentation.

I appreciate that I can use pro, but that does not answer why it’s not working with the one in the WP repo, which says it also should work. If you could please let me know why that’s not working that would be great.

Thanks!

Can you describe how did you try and what happened?

I have [wpuf_dashboard post_type=”mcm_mayor-blog”] and it’s not displaying posts that I have posted using [wpuf_addpost post_type=”mcm_mayor-blog”] which does work. So I can post and assign to a post type but the dashboard doesn’t list those posts so I can edi.

It works for default post, just not CPTs.

I am not sure whats happening. The workflow you mentioned, should be working without any problem. I can’t think of a problem that might break that feature.

Have you tried to replicate it? I’ve tested with only My Content Management & WP User Frontend enabled and only can post too and edit/view in dashboard from default posts.

Just installed My content management plugin, enabled it’s mcm_portfolio post type. [wpuf_dashboard post_type="mcm_portfolio"] is showing the portfolio items and I was also able to edit the portfolio post.
