ok, so I found a work around:

I commented out,- wp_enqueue_script( ‘google-maps’, $scheme . ‘://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=true’ );
to read- //wp_enqueue_script( ‘google-maps’, $scheme . ‘://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=true’ );

Can someone please tell me what functionality I am losing taking this out ?
