Missing product variant data in vendor email

Nayem Hello, I'm just curious if this bug (https://wedevs.com/support/topic/email-notifications/) is already fixed? Because I'm still facing this problem, that my vendors do not receive the variation data for the purchased products. But in my shop order email I do receive this data. Any news? Regards, CP

Hello Baumgartner,

Actually woocommerce does not provide any facility to send variable data to a vendor email. You can check the code of woocommerce then you will understand.

I was able to further pinpoint the problem. If an order consists of products from multiple vendors, the order is splitted into suborders (a suborder for each vendor). The variation attributes are correctly displayed in the parent order but unfortunately the attributes are not set in the corresponding sub-orders. I looked into your dokan code and did not see any code which adds attributes to sub-orders.

Can you please elaborate on this?

Edit: How should my vendors know which kind of product (attribute size, color) is ordered?

Hello Baumgartner,

Please create a product through woocommerce and set variation. After creating a product, now buy this product also buy other product from other’s seller as a customer and see what happen then.

You must disable dokan.

Hello,

when I disable Dokan and order products from multiple sellers, then there is just one woocommerce order created instead of multiple suborders for each seller.

As I already mentioned in my previous answer, the attributes are correctly displayed in the parent order but missing in the suborders. I think there is a problem in “dokan_create_seller_order”.

Any ideas?

Hello,

unfortunately I can not give you access to our productive shop installation.

But this error also occurs on a fresh install of dokan. As you can see on this post https://wedevs.com/support/topic/email-notifications/page/2/ , there are more people struggling with this issue! There is something wrong with the creation of a suborder within dokan plugin (dokan_create_seller_order)

In addition to this problem, if the customer buys from 2 or more different sellers, the admin is unable to see in the order that which sellers that the customer buys from. For the sellers, not only that they can’t see the variations in the order email but also in the seller dashboard. So, i just cant see how this is going to work.

I think this is a serious issue and needs urgent fix. Please provide an exact time when this will be fixed and please discuss this with your developer urgently.

This Dokan so called mutli-vendor plugin, should have realized in the first place that the customer may buy from more than one seller. I m very disappointed and very tired of this, i just bought this plugin about a week ago and i think this plugin is an unfinished product that continuously needs fixing.

Please tell me whether you guys are going to fix it or not. I have a very tight deadline, and if you cant do it or unwilling to do it, then just please let me know. I will hire someone to fix this.

Hello,

It is not a bug. If there is no feature like this then that does not mean- it is bug. WooCommmerce manage the order notification. WooCommerce does not send variant data of the order. Right now there is no option to send variant data with the mail. All of our customer facing this same thing but Dokan based on WooCommerce. We are trying to find a solution for this.

@Jacky Dokan is not uncompleted product. If you are facing any issue in our plugin then let us know. Please try to keep posting in one topic with your issue. If you have any more issue then post in your that topic.

What you said is not true. If the customer only buys from one seller, both parties including admin are able to see the selected variants from the orders in the email and seller dashboard. So Woocommerce does support this, this issue only happens when customer buys from more than one sellers. Woocommerce is not a multi-vendor plugin, and if you are using it to send emails to more than one sellers, it might get confused but this is understandable. But Dokan should fill in the place, as it is designed to be a multi-vendor plugin.

So the big question is, when the customer buys from more than one seller, how can the seller know which variants that the customer selects if the seller cant see this information in the seller dashboard or in the email? And when the sellers complain to the admin, the admin cant help as the admin cant see the details of the orders e.g. Selected Variants and which sellers etc. So how is this going to work?

Hi Nayem,

This post (see below) is over 7 months old and is referring to the same issue that we are having now. You said “I tested your issue and i found the bug. I have already forwarded this to our developer team. Hope they will fix it in our next update.” and then later “it is not fixed yet. Hope our developer team will fix it in our next update.”

So 7 months passed, we are still having this problem. Do you have any updates on that? That is the same issue that we are discussing here. And what happened to the developers?

Hello,

I am really sorry for misunderstanding. I was talking about the email notification after a order. Yes, you are right in seller order details it is not showing the variation.

I have to discuss with our developer team about this but though we are in vacation, It is not possible right now. Please keep patience. We will start our office from 26th July.
